This master workshop viola is our unique shop instrument of the Texas Violin Shop. Modeled after Giovanni Paolo Maggini. Maggini was born in Botticino, Italy and moved to Brescia around 1586 to train with Gaspara da Salo, another legendary violin maker. After 20 ears of work, Maggini developed his own models which are highly sought after in todays market. One of the hallmarks of his work is the double inlayed purfling.
